At pt Health, we have six hand therapy services locations. Hand therapy services are provided by our team of Certified Hand Therapists or Certified Hand Therapist Candidates. Certified Hand Therapists are Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists who, in addition to having a University Degree, have successfully completed the comprehensive American Hand Therapy Certification Examination. CHT’s possess sound experience in dealing with hand and upper limb conditions and have acquired a minimum of 4000 hours in the practice of hand therapy. In addition, they participate in extensive ongoing education to maintain their certification. Each therapist must also be registered and be in good standing with the College of Physical Therapists of BC or the College of Occupational Therapists of BC. The Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential is the ultimate level of recognition in the specialty of hand therapy today.
